I haven't reviewed for a while, but a friend asked

the intro was absolute "wow this is so cool and dramatic" shit, and i hated it. It was like the Hellsing intro, except terrible and trying too hard.

the voice acting was ok, and i liked the tomamoto bit. the humor was so shitty, like a 12 year old's. "woo you have KRABS!" "let's get baked! (and then let's apologize for the shitty joke so the audience doesn't hate us!)"

the narration was so generic ("and i mean she's good at EVERYTHING")

overall, the whole thing was generic and unappealing. and the art and animation REALLY detracted from it. It's like every character had 25 faces because the author made them devoid of any features AND had shitty art that made a person look fat in one frame and skinny in another.

Good job, but some things bothered me

I liked how this flash was done, but there are some quirks that really bother me with their inconsistency.

For instance, most of the frame by frame people were really sketchy and it contrasted really badly with the crisp, vectory nature of the rest of the flash. And the first time a person shows up who says "doo doo doo" or something seems to have only been put there to make the flash look a bit more strange/trippy, to a bad effect. And that one time when Chinese characters float down the screen really bothered me, because they were just there. It would have been better if the characters were eased in, one by one, falling on top of eachother, not just a solid block tweening around just to look exotic.

Other than that, it was really nicely done, with a few things to iron out.

Cool story.

But what I really liked was the graphics. You used colorful figures with no outline, yet it wasn't the overtweened vectory crap that scared of bees makes. I liked how it was so delightfully FBF.

It's okay.

The flash itself was very boring. The music was just there. You should've chose a song with more percussion. Also, the animation was kinda awkward. The inbetweens you drew were very wobbly and hard to look at. the grammatical errors were also annoying, you should've gotten rid of the subtitles completely. All in all, it's an okay flash, but not deserving of a daily.

hahahaha

I liked the animation, and it made me laugh at how dramatic it was. "Stupid cat, cats don't use flash!"

pretty uninteresting.

The idea is what makes everyone vote 5 on this. I know that you're trying to say "twilight is boring and stupid and has bland characters", but you could try expressing that message through a funny script or a short or something, not just a video that says "oh. edward. i-don't ...deserve to...live!" It's boring that way.

This parody was so poorly made that it was annoying to watch. Before you say "oh well Twilight is annoying that's what I was trying to say", let me point out that pissing the audience off over something you're pissed off about isn't a good way to say your message.

so, tl;dr- boring, uninteresting, and overrated. improve the script and it'll be less annoying. also, points for the animation; that was pretty okay.

Bogswallop responds:

Well thanks for being honest and the compliment on the animation. But I have to disagree on you on it being a poor parody. I think I hit the nail on the head concerning the dialogue used in the books and film, which was the main target of my movie.

This is a horrible idea.

This will inevitably get passed simply because it involves sprites. The idea is unoriginal, and most of it was unfunny. My advice to you is to just drop the whole sprite thing in general, and move onto FBF.

segaplaya responds:

if you dont like sprites/collabs/ or just people wanting to get experience and have fun. then dont wathc the friggin movie in the first place. and dont say i didnt give sprite haters a big warning it was a sprote movie. *hint at title*

This flash takes itself too seriously.

The animation is nice and satisfying, but the whole plot is way too predictable. The generic "sensei-san bossman" uses a move to make clones that shows three chinese characters -- another mark of a conceited flash animator -- and in the end the girl ends up taking the bullet. This whole series is too cliche. The one thing that got me was how right before each character used a "final ultimate move" you would see a cut-in of an anime version of them that was horribly drawn.

And in the end, the bunny turns into a fucking super saiyan! What?! I'm sure that if you had voice acting, when the bunny changed back to normal, you would say "I don't know what came over me... Did I really KILL that sensei japanese sama okaasan?!" because this series is THAT predictable.

Again, you need to take yourself less seriously. This whole "dramatic japanese" effect would be better if you actually, umm, animated. It doesn't work with Madness-style motion tweens, only with well timed FBF.

Although the effects were good, it leaves the viewer thinking "uhh...What? Heh-heh...huh?" Seriously.

Mottis responds:

Thanks for you honest opinion. Theres just something I have to point out.

I don't use tweens, in fact I hate using tweens.
90% of the movements you see in this movie is done fbf.
I only use tweens when it's absolutely necessary.
